Hardware
How accurate are the sensors?
NDIR CO₂ at ±(50 ppm + 5% of reading); electrochemical CO optimised for low-level exposure at ~±2 ppm across 0–10 ppm; laser scattering PM1/PM2.5/PM10 at ±10% of reading; Bosch BME690 for temperature (±1 °C), humidity (±3 %RH), pressure (±1 hPa) and the fused VOC/IAQ index. Every unit is factory-calibrated and ships with a signed certificate per device ID.
Will the sensors degrade over time?
CO₂ uses auto-baseline correction, which cancels long-term drift indoors. The PM laser module is rated for 8+ years of continuous duty. The BME690 climate and VOC module has lifetime factory calibration with continuous baseline tracking for VOCs. The electrochemical CO cell is the shortest-lived component; we offer a drop-in replacement service at year 5. Calibration reports are available per serial number at any time.
How is Envora powered?
USB-C, 5 V input with a typical current draw of 200–500 mA depending on sampling activity. A 1.5 m braided cable is in the box. Envora is fanless in normal operation; the internal micro-fan only runs during active particulate sampling.
How does it connect?
Wi-Fi 2.4 GHz (802.11 b/g/n). No cloud dependency for core measurement — REST and MQTT are exposed on your LAN via local mode, and the cloud service is optional. Firmware updates arrive over-the-air, signed.
What are the dimensions?
92 × 92 × 36 mm, 180 g. Anodised aluminium top shell, recycled polycarbonate base. Designed to look right on a shelf or a rack.

Which platforms does the app run on?
iOS 16+, Android 11+, and a responsive web app on every modern browser. No feature is phone-only.
Do you sell my data?
No — ever. We do not sell, share or aggregate your readings. The business model is the hardware plus optional future integrations you choose.
Can I export my data?
Yes. CSV, JSON or live stream via REST. Every account has unlimited free export.
Does it work without the internet?
Yes. Local mode exposes readings over mDNS, REST and MQTT on your LAN. Wi-Fi is only required for push notifications, remote access and firmware updates.
Developer
Is there a public API?
Yes — HTTP / REST and MQTT are both first-party, versioned and documented. Webhooks ride on top for event delivery. Every account has an API key and tokens are revocable and scoped.
Which integrations work out of the box?
Anything that speaks MQTT or REST: Home Assistant via its community integration, Node-RED, n8n, Zapier, Grafana via a Prometheus bridge, and any other platform that can consume a JSON endpoint or an MQTT topic. HomeKit and Matter support are on the firmware roadmap — not in today's build.
Is the firmware open source?
The SDK, sample clients and integration layer are MIT-licensed on GitHub. The core firmware is closed-source but signed, and OTA updates are cryptographically verified before install.

Two years, covering hardware defects, sensor drift outside stated accuracy, and firmware support. Extendable to four years.
