What the pilot includes
- Hardware and shipping (£249/device list, often discounted at pilot scale)
- Envora Fleet Starter for the pilot period (£15/mo minimum)
- Dashboard access for the head, SLT, governors
- Email and push alerts at DfE thresholds
- 30-day ventilation report (Word + PowerPoint) with room-by-room findings and remediation recommendations
- Optional governor briefing call
Hardware cost can be credited against a wider rollout — if you proceed to deploy across the rest of the school within 6 months.
How the pilot runs
Day 1: devices installed (plug-in, 5 minutes per room). The school identifies a project lead.
Days 1–30: continuous monitoring. Live dashboard available, weekly summary email to the lead.
Day 30: data review with Envora. Identify outliers, agree report scope.
Days 30–35: ventilation report delivered. Governor briefing optional.
Days 35+: if the school proceeds to a wider rollout, pilot hardware cost credits against the larger order.
What the pilot typically reveals
- 60–75% of rooms operate within DfE guidelines
- 15–25% have a fixable ventilation problem (painted-shut windows, broken trickle vents, hot water cylinders blocking airflow)
- 5–15% need capital investment (MVHR retrofit, mechanical ventilation upgrade)
The pilot identifies which is which — and gives senior leadership a defensible record to bring to governors or the trust.
