- 1 Run the extractor fan for 15 minutes after every shower — not at the end.
- 2 Crack a window or open a trickle vent while cooking; close it once humidity drops.
- 3 Never dry laundry indoors without ventilation; a closed bedroom is the worst room for it.
- 4 Keep internal doors open in winter so moisture does not concentrate in one cold room.
- 5 Insulate cold bridges — the wall behind furniture, the window reveal — to remove the surface where condensation lands.
